Advisor Approval: Undergraduates who are in other than good standing must obtain the signature of their advisor. All students are encouraged to discuss program choices with their advisor.

  4. Login using your G number and 6-digit PIN
  5. Select 'Student & Financial Aid'
  6. Click on 'Registration'
  7. Select  'Add or Drop Classes'

Mail In - Drop Off
Registrations and Drop/Adds will be accepted according to the schedule, in the Student Assistance Center (Allendale or DeVos); or Lakeshore Center Offices in Muskegon and Holland; or GVSU University Center in Traverse City.

  • PRIMARY/SECONDARY ACTIVITIES - If you have trouble dropping or adding, contact the Student Assistance Center: (616) 331-3327.
  • PRIOR APPROVAL REQUIRED - Courses that require you to obtain permission before you may register are denoted by a 'Prior Approval Required' message when you attempt to register. Stop in or call the department to obtain permission.
  • CLOSED course - pick another course or acquire permission from the department to register in a closed class.
  • FINANCIAL hold - when you clear it, the hold will be lifted. Then, re-submit your registration.
  • ACADEMIC hold - when you clear it, the hold will be lifted. Then, re-submit your registration.
  • ADVISOR approval - required to submit an advisor approved registration; may use the WEB for drop-add only.
