On November 3, November 12, and November 18, the Hauenstein Center hosted the Center for Michigan and their initiative titled "Michigan's Defining Moment - Community Conversations." These townhall discussion featured interactive voting and state wide issues as well as seminar style discussions between the audience and the moderator.

Mike Holday, a volunteer with the Center for Michigan, introduced the "Michigan's Defining Moment" campaign and the format of the townhall conversation.
 
Leadership fellows Allie Bush and Selma Tucker rise their hands to contribute to the discussion on Michigan's K-12 education budget.

The audience listens to Mr. Holiday as he discusses several of the key issues facing the state of Michigan in the 2010 election year.

Leadership Advisory Cabinet member Hilary Snell discusses how the issue of economic recovery and job creation in Michigan.

Brian Flanagan poses with his daughter, Ella, after giving the introduction for the Center's second community conversation at Grand Vally.  Brian used Ella to demonstrate that the citizens of Michigan need to take a proactive role in securing the state's future.
